FirstService Residential On-Call Concierge in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Overview:Â Â

Provides exceptional customer service. Meets and greets residents; checks guests and service providers in/out. Able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures; monitors and operates electronic security control systems; and accurately maintains daily logs, records and forms. Assists with general concierge services and performs administrative clerical, Word and Excel document work. Walks the building premises as directed for monitoring purposes.Â

Your Responsibilities:Â Â

  • Provides exceptional customer service. Â
  • Meets and greets residents; checks guests and service providers in/out. Â
  • Able to understand and react to emergency response and access control procedures; monitors and operates electronic security control systems; and accurately maintains daily logs, records and forms. Â
  • Assists with general concierge services and performs administrative clerical, Word and Excel document work. Â
  • Walks the building premises as directed for monitoring purposesÂ
  • Monitors and controls access to the buildingÂ
  • Resolves and follows-up on all complaints/issues, escalating to supervisor if necessaryÂ
  • Provides general concierge services as well as administrative clerical work when neededÂ
  • Helps maintain a safe and secure environment throughout the building/property(s)Â
  • Walks the building premises as directed for monitoring purposesÂ
  • Have the ability to understand and complete all required formsÂ
  • May be assigned other duties by supervisorÂ

Skills & Qualifications:Â Â

  • Ability to manage multiple prioritiesÂ
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service, communication and time management skills.Â

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Outlook, Word and Excel. Â

  • Command of information system hardware/software is preferredÂ
  • Good written and verbal communication skillsÂ
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills requiredÂ

  • Computer and peripherals, standard and customized software applications and tools, and usual office equipment.Â
  • Ability to quickly and easily navigate the property/building as required to meet the job functionsÂ
  • Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbsÂ
  • Requires standing, sitting position for long periods of time, walking and occasional climbing when necessaryÂ
  • Handle, finger, grasp and lift objects and packages; must be able to reach with hands and armsÂ
  • The employee is required to work at a personal computer for extended periods of time as well as talking on the phone for extended periods of time Â
  • Must have the ability to detect auditory and/or visual emergency alarmsÂ
  • Occasional overtime may be requiredÂ
  • Must have the ability to work extended/flexible hours, weekends, and attend Board meetings.Â

As a full-time exempt associate, you will be eligible for full comprehensive benefits to include your choice of multiple medical plans, dental, vision, and others. $20 - $23.00 per hourÂ
