Universal Health Services Maintenance Supervisor in BRADENTON, Florida

Suncoast Behavioral Health Center opened its doors in 2014 and provides the highest quality of behavioral healthcare for patients in a safe, secure and nurturing environment. Suncoast Behavioral Health Center is a 60-bed free-standing psychiatric hospital. We offer diverse inpatient and residential programs for children and adolescents.

In a highly specialized field of psychiatry, our goal is to promote cognitive, social, physical and emotional development to provide individuals with the knowledge and skills to help our patients succeed.

The Hospital is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor which will perform department-specific, assigned quality-related tasks under the direction of the Director of Plant Operations. The Maintenance Supervisor will provide support, training, guidance, coordinate and monitor activities and assignments, determine the competence of other Maintenance Department staff. They perform tasks in the absence of the Director of Plant Operations. Oversees Maintenance, House Keeping/Environmental Services.

The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for being able to perform all aspects of Suncoast Behavioral Health Centers Plant Operations processes, including Life Safety Regulatory Compliance responsibilities that include maintenance, inspections, documentation.

    Qualifications

    Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalency required. Trade or vocational school training preferred.

  • Two to four (2-4) years’ experience in plant operations and maintenance in a hospital setting preferred .

  • Skills: Knowledge of HVAC equipment, generators, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting and landscape maintenance. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel). Decision Making, Problem Solving, Establishing and Maintaining Interpersonal Relationships, Organizing, Planning and Prioritizing, Resolving Conflict, Time Management, Critical Thinking, Adaptability and Flexibility, Oral and Written Communication.

  • Physical Requirements: Heavy demand; walking, standing, bending, lifting objects in excess of 50lbs, pushing and pulling. Visual acuity, accurate hearing. The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the functions of the job.

  • Additional Requirements: Must possess valid driver’s license. May be required to work flexible hours.
