As Hazardous Substances Specialist, you will support that environmental protection and material compliance is applied and further developed in the Group Sector Tires. You will be responsible to lead and support projects to ensure compliance of our product portfolio. This includes:
Lead of projects related to hazardous substance management (HSM) and environmental protection in the group sector tires
Administration of international Material Data System (IMDS) platform for materials
First level helpdesk on HSM questions raised by the locations
Central ESH evaluation and approval of chemical raw materials
Authoring of Continental Safety Data Sheets (SDS) for group sector tires
Classification of substances and mixtures according to GHS/CLP
Maintenance of HSM relevant databases
Academic degree in Chemistry / Chemical Engineering / Environmental Engineering / Safety Engineering or comparable science
Knowledge in tire raw materials or in the tire / rubber manufacturing environment
Knowledge in relevant chemical regulations (REACH, GHS/CLP)
Experience in the creation of safety data sheets is a plus
Experience with IMDS and in technical support for OE customers is a plus
Knowledge in project and stakeholder management
Strong in intercultural communication
Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Skills in Office365
Skills in software for administration of chemicals (e.g. ChemGes) as well as data analysis and visualization (Tableau, PowerBI, KNIME) is a plus
