The Headlines *:  *

In the role of Sr Regional Transportation Mgr. (SRTM) working in Milwaukee WI you will be part of the Transportation Team.  You will be responsible for assisting in developing, implementing, and managing MCBC transportation strategy & execution consisting of all truckload movement from a domestic or international brewery or warehouse through to final distribution to the distributor customer. You will also lead 3-5 other Regional Transportation Managers in their activities for their individual regions.

This position reports to the Sr. Director Freight Management & Transport _ _ and works closely with the Director of Transportation, Regional Transportation Managers, carriers, breweries, and distributors.

The Responsibilities: _ _

  • Most importantly, you will lead a team of 3-5 talented colleagues, and support their growth and development through career discussions and consistent one on one conversations 

  • Develop, manage & deliver against transportation KPI's including cost, service, quality, and communication. Tools managed will include provider scorecards, QBR's, and day to day management execution reporting.

  • Provide leadership & direction during the annual planning process & freight bidding process. Conduct rate negotiations with strategic & tactical suppliers annually and as required to support the business.

  • Responsible for supplier management & performance working closely with the Director of Distribution to ensure that MCBC has a competitively advantaged carrier network.

  • Focus on continuous improvement of our logistics network optimizing quality to our distributors, speed to market, mode optimization, and brewery impacts.

  • Support leadership in directing & building collaborative relationships with distributors as it relates to transportations strategy & daily operations. Includes working with carriers, distributors, all MCBC functions to leverage our scale to meet demand and service.

  • You havea Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations or similar related field  OR equivalent experience (10+ years) in the field of Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain

  • Organizational & leadership skills to lead multi-divisional activities, analyze large amounts of volume to identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Proven track record of working cross functional within a multi-national organization.

  • Ability to quickly identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues affecting our distributors.

  • Experience with executing a multi-modal network strategy focused on service and cost.

  • Complete understanding of the interdependence of all components of the supply chain.

  • Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills managing external transportation companies with a high sense of urgency.
