Description We are offering a unique opportunity to fill the role of a Senior Accountant in our finance team. Located in Salinas, California, you will be part of a progressive organization that operates within the Agriculture industry. This role is pivotal in maintaining financial health and increasing profitability, with a focus on utilizing Famous software and Excel functions to effectively manage and control company resources.

Responsibilities:

• Preparing and analyzing financial statements using Famous software, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies

• Overseeing the month-end and year-end closing processes, performing reconciliations, and resolving any discrepancies

• Assisting in the development of annual budgets and forecasts, using advanced Excel functions to create comprehensive financial models

• Conducting regular cost analyses to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing cost control measures, and collaborating with operational teams to understand and manage cost drivers

• Utilizing Famous software for day-to-day accounting activities, training team members in its use, and staying updated on software enhancements and best practices

• Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules, supporting external audits, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and accounting standards, and implementing and monitoring internal controls to mitigate financial risks. Requirements • Applicant must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant.

• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel, including advanced Excel formulas, is essential.

• Familiarity with accounting software 'Famous' is required.

• Ability to perform account reconciliation and balance sheet account reconciliation is mandatory.

• Experience in handling month-end close procedures is necessary.

• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities are desired.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or relevant field is essential.

• Familiarity with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is needed.

• Professional certification such as CPA is a plus.

• Strong understanding of tax codes and laws is beneficial.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
