*Pay Range: $25.00 - $40.00 CAD hourly

POSITION SUMMARY:

Company 3 Vancouver provides Post Production services to some of the world’s top content creators and is known for its creative artistry, pioneering technology and global reach. 

We are seeking a Producer to join our team and maintain their own portfolio of longform projects. The Producer we are looking for should have great inter-personal skills, be proactive, always organized and work calmly and professionally especially during high pressure situations. 

MAIN DUTIES:

The Producer will oversee the day-to-day management of each assigned project as a liaison between clients and operations. From dailies through to final archival and delivery.  They will provide exceptional customer service to all clients and manage their expectations, maintain a portfolio of feature film, episodic and other projects as assigned, and review bids at the beginning of each project with sales to fully understand client expectations with regards to the quote and billing procedures. The Producer will also be responsible for the following:

  • Organize pre-production meetings for all projects.

  • Work with scheduling to schedule artists and resources.

  • Ensure operations is informed of services required by the client and any changes requested.

  • Manage internal and external resources required to meet customer needs.

  • Routinely review post schedule with clients and provide them regular updates regarding the status of their project.  

  • Ensure potential overages are discussed with the client as soon as possible. 

  • Work with scheduling and finance to ensure work orders are created and reconciled in a timely manner.

  • Prepare documentation to support accurate invoicing procedures.

  • Collaborate with other production and operations team members to prioritize, organize and assign work received by the department.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    WHAT YOU BRING:

    The ideal candidate will have prior working experience in a client facing Post Production environment. They will have the ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with competing priorities under tight deadlines, and must have strong organizational skills, attention to detail and an ability to work effectively both unsupervised and collaboratively with internal departments.

    They will have a comprehensive knowledge of the Post Production process for both feature and episodic picture and sound. From file-based dailies and off-line editorial, through to final mastering and delivery. As well as an understanding of the Post Production scheduling process and the concept of deadlines therein. Additional desired skills include:

  • Knowledge of Xytech MediaPulse or other Post Production scheduling software is an asset. 

  • Experience with the Quality Control process and reports. 

  • Experience with studio and broadcaster delivery specs.

  • Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to handle all that is involved in a demanding post-production environment.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to learn and process information quickly.

  • Possess solid keyboarding skills and a good working knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint, OneDrive)

  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization up through the executive level, maintaining professionalism. 

  • Able to work alternative times and weekends when required.

    The benefits for eligible part-time employees working 25 or more hours per week and full-time employees in the US include a comprehensive package of health, retirement, and insurance benefits and paid time off.
