Alongside advice on rolling stock focussed projects, we also provide rolling stock expertise to broader rail projects being delivered from WSPs Rail and Advisory teams, both locally and internationally. We work across the whole rolling stock product life-cycle, from concept, feasibility, procurement and design through to manufacture, service introduction, maintenance and overhaul.

We work collaboratively with rail infrastructure, operations, commercial, strategic advisory, systems engineering. Our team is a really great place to broaden your understanding of the railway.

Examples of recent projects include: a technology upgrade feasibility study for an in-service fleet (for a TOC), strategic market analysis (for a ROSCO), developing recommendations on the future of battery-powered train operation (for RSSB), developing depot and stabling plans for a new fleet (for an urban rail network) and developing a rolling stock specification for a new rail network (for the procuring authority).
