SMX is seeking a Cybersecurity Assessments & Authorizations (SMS) Lead to provide management, direction, administration, quality assurance, and leadership of the execution of cybersecurity accreditation efforts for USAREUR G6 CSD.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team to coordinate efforts across USAREUR-AF AOR

  • Provide Director and Executive-level reporting on all system packages submitted for review; and prepare ad-hoc briefings for leadership

  • Enhance the A&A review process to streamline and automate processes

  • Manage a technical team of cyber security professionals and provide mentorship and leadership

  • Manage and resolve escalated issues and risks raised by the team

  • Provide tactical leadership to personnel by delegating and monitoring technical and project-related tasks, provide constructive feedback to personnel, and work closely with team leads on personnel issues.

  • Conduct technical reviews, validate modifications against the DISA CAL, work with and consult with ISSOs and system owners, and work across cybersecurity accreditation efforts for USAREUR G6 CSD

  • Work collaboratively with Cybersecurity and IAM Oversight Technical Lead to manage the team and drive the Cyber Strategy for the Program

Required Skills, Experience & Education

  • Required clearance: Secret

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

  • GIAC 8570/8140M – IAT III Compliant

  • Experience leading A&A efforts within the DoD (Army Preferred)

  • Experience managing multiple A&A teams within the DoD (Army Preferred)

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering or other engineering or technical discipline.

  • Must be a US Citizen eligible for TESA status

  • Extensive IT experience in all aspects of Cyber Security with a vast array of IT systems involving end user as well as enterprise level networks

  • Extensive experience in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) using eMASS

  • Experience designing and implementing systems that meet agency Cyber Security policy and regulations (e.g., NIST, RMF, CSF, etc.)

Desired Skills, Experience

  • Experience with Cross-Domain Services, compiling, analyzing, and sharing C4ISR or C5ISR data with Mission Partners (Coalitions and Partner Nations) in a secure fashion

  • Supporting data lifecycle management, data governance, and/or data analytics for the Army

  • Familiarity with CyberArk, EAGLE6, Microsoft Identity Manager, CISCO ISE, or other Zero Trust enablement tools

  • Understanding of U.S. Army shift from net-centric services to data-centric services
