GAF Inventory Coordinator in Wilmington, North Carolina

Summary

The Inventory Coordinator is responsible for supporting the Materials Department by ensuring proper cycle counts, participating in inventory reviews, and assisting in resolving inaccuracies of material counts. This role supports our production team in ensuring materials are available and accounted for at all times. The Utility Associate partners with team members, department leads, and supervisors to establish and maintain an environment where safety, quality, service and cost are the highest priorities.

  • RegularWorkSchedule:

  • Second Shift: 2:30pm to 11:00 pm (Monday through Friday)

  • Overtime as required

Essential Duties

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Conduct cycle counts on a daily basis.

  • Use a computer to read and complete spreadsheets and reports, print tickets, and communicate via email and chat.

  • Actively participate in the recount and resolution of any inaccuracies. Investigate causes of inventory inaccuracies, and when possible, initiate action or recommend action to be taken to correct.

  • Support the Materials & Planning teams to ensure accurate inventories by reconciliation of cycle counting and negative inventories.

  • Demonstrate customer service, flexibility, adaptability, cooperation and teamwork with all members of the team involved in cycle counting and inventory reconciliation.

  • Knowledge of all GAF/Burgaw plant products and become familiar with how the parts are counted.

  • Responsible for conformance to plant standards of safety, quality, production and efficiency.

  • Cleans and maintains the work area in accordance with plant standards.

  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.

  • Must have good performance, safety, conduct, and attendance record.

  • Works in shipping and production as business needs required

  • Performs other duties assigned by leadership.

Physical Demands

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicateinformationwith/tootheremployees;frequentlystandandwalk;use both hands to handle objects, tools and controls; frequently bend and reach into baskets on floor; occasionally stoop; and reach with both arms and hands.

  • The employee must be able to lift up to 30 pounds.

  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus.

Under This Roof, We Require

  • High School Diploma is required, associate or bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 1+ year prior experience in an inventory and/or data entry role

  • 2+yearsofforkliftexperience
