Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and processing incoming payments, securing revenue by verifying and posting receipts, and resolving any discrepancies. The Accounts Receivable Specialist requires a high level of accuracy and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately processing customer credit applications in a timely manner

• Maintaining precise records of customer credit accounts

• Addressing and resolving customer credit inquiries

• Monitoring customer credit accounts and taking necessary steps to collect delinquent payments

• Assisting management and accounting team members as required

• Handling customer billing inquiries and managing customer collection efforts

• Processing all credit card transactions and applying cash collections

• Using accounting software to maintain records and prepare reports

• Solving cost/margin issues with sales staff

• Researching any discrepancies by checking bills, invoices, sales receipts, and bank deposit records.

Requirements • Possess at least 1 year of experience in accounts receivable or similar role

• Proficient in account reconciliation and accounts receivable (AR)

• Experience in billing, cash applications, and cash collections

• Familiarity with commercial collections

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• High level of integrity and dependability

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field is preferred
